The Youth Garden Project hosts a variety of workshops throughout the year. Workshop Instructors consist of Community Members or YGP Staff who have expertise in a given field. Previous topics have included: seed germination, fruit tree pruning, wild edibles, food preservation, bread making, irrigation 101, herbal medicinals, pollinators, DIY composting and more!

This workshops is for Wanna-Bees and New-Bees! Learn what you need to know to keep bees in 2015. Join us to explore the mystery and beauty of honeybees with slides, questions, equipment demonstrations, and local honey to taste. This first workshop is for anyone who is just curious about honeybees, or who has considered keeping bees but doesn’t know where to start. We will cover and learn about bees, equipment, locating hives, costs, and your questions!
Cost: $15 (tuition assistance available upon request at time of registration)
