After School Program
The Youth Garden Project hosts two afterschool programs per week throughout the fall and spring. Over the winter, we host one session per week. Families sign-up their kids through BEACON Afterschool Program. Program themes vary each trimester where students can participate in a variety of activities including: hunting for bugs & insects, harvesting & planting, cooking with garden ingredients, exploring various art forms, games & free play, and the list goes on!

Do you love the many wonders of science? Well, then, put on your lab coat and step into the “Plant Lab” at the
Youth Garden Project this spring! We will transform into botanists, biologists, entomologists, and
beyond as we conduct experiments in the garden each week.
Afterschoolers will spend time exploring what magic can happen in the spring garden! We will investigate plants & living
creatures, sow seeds, dig around in the dirt, harvest & taste garden snacks, play garden games, and more!
