• Personalized Advice: Our experienced gardening consultants will visit your home and provide tailored advice based on your specific garden conditions and gardening goals.

What to Expect

• Client Questionnaire: We’ll ask you a few questions to start in the form below. The information you provide here will help us prepare for our first visit to your garden.
• Scheduling Your Visit: Once we have received your questionnaire and payment through the below form, we will reach out to schedule your consultation.
• Home Consultation: At least one of our consultants will meet you at your garden for a 60-minute consultation. We’ll review your goals, ask questions, take notes, and provide on-the-spot recommendations to help your garden succeed.
• Customized Recommendations: Within a few days of your consultation, we will follow up by email with customized advice, product recommendations, and other notes that you can reference.
• Follow-Up Coaching Calls: We’ll give you a call after you have had time to implement the changes we recommended. Up to two 15-minute coaching calls are included in your consultation fee. If more follow ups are desired, and our schedule allows, we can offer further follow ups at a prorated $50/ hour.

Who We Serve

• New or experienced gardeners.
• Homeowners or renters 18 or older within 30 miles of YGP’s main campus (530 S 400 E, Moab).
  • We will travel for free up to 10 miles to your destination.
  • Travel in excess of 10 miles from YGP’s main campus will be charged the current GSA rate for mileage.

Services & Pricing

• 60 Minute Garden Consultation: $115
  • Includes 60-minute consultation with one of our gardening consultants, a written summary of recommendations, and up to two 15-minute coaching calls within one year from the date of your consultation. If more time is desired, and our consultant has availability, we can offer more time at a $50/hour rate.
• Soil Testing & Interpretation: $60
  • Can be purchased alone or as an add-on to the 60 Minute Garden Consultation. Includes cost of soil testing supplies and up to an additional 30-minutes of support with interpreting results.

Support We CANNOT Provide

❌ Ongoing landscaping services
❌ Schematic designs
❌ Complex irrigation systems or installation
❌ Fruit trees or berries
❌ Ornamental plants
❌ Livestock
❌ Phone-only consultation
❌ Travel outside of the Moab area
❌ Material procurement
❌ Product recommendations outside the scope of vegetable gardening
❌ Support with commercial agriculture, or gardens over .5 acres
❌ Consultations in languages other than English

Meet Our Consultants

Our experienced garden consultants have a combined 9+ years of gardening experience between them, and are excited to share their expertise to help your garden grow!

• Sarah has been with the Youth Garden Project since 2020, and also manages a very productive home garden in her off-time. Sarah sees local food as a valuable tool in nourishing our community’s health and resiliency. Her particular expertise is in selecting varieties for your home garden, and harvesting and maintaining plants for maximum yield.
• Ben has been tending to YGP’s garden rows since 2022, and before that he worked on an aquaponics farm. He enjoys sharing his passion for nature and getting outside in the dirt. Ben is particularly skilled with irrigation systems, soil amendments, and plant health diagnosis.
