June Jubilee at YGP!

Fun fact: Did you know that a “jubilee” is actually a 25th (or 50th) anniversary??? Well it’s a fitting word for us this year!
The Youth Garden Project is celebrating 25 years of growing food, kids, and community in Moab! Here’s what we are doing to celebrate…
1) Putting on a June Jubilee!

What: June Jubilee at YGP
Where:
 Youth Garden Project (530 S 400 E, Moab)
When: Friday, June 4
Time: 5:00-7:00pm
Cost: Free!

Come help us celebrate our 25th birthday party on Friday, June 4th! Our garden-based learning organization has been around since 1996 here in the heart of Moab, and we’re inviting you all out to the garden to celebrate. Free snacks, sparkly beverages, desserts, and other birthday party necessities will be waiting for you at the June Jubilee at YGP!

2) Designing a 25th Anniversary Cookbook!

We’ve been compiling stories and recipes from folks who have been a part of the YGP story over the last 25 years! Copies of Celebrating Past & Cultivating Future: 25 Years of the Youth Garden Project will be available for purchase at the June Jubilee event or for pre-order on our online shop (shipping and pick-up options available).

This 110-page book is a gorgeous trip through YGP’s history through photos, letters, and stories, in addition to being a delicious collection of 50+ favorite recipes.

*orders will be ready in late June or early July*

3) Celebrating the gardeners and food lovers who inspire us!

This June, all month long, we are running a matching gift fundraiser. If you believe in YGP’s mission, consider making a gift in honor of someone who inspired you to farm, garden, cook, bake, or never take for granted where your food comes from!

View our progress and stories from others in the community on our fundraising site, or make a gift below! Our goal is to raise $12,500 by June 30th.

The Youth Garden Project is always growing to meet the needs of the Moab community, and your gift will help us meet our goals of establishing and sustaining a new Harvest of the Month program with the Grand County Child Nutrition Program, expand our pre- and post-field trip curricula to support educators and students, expand farm production, and donate a higher percentage of produce to our CareShare food bank partners.
